It is wonderful that you can also choose which gender is needed for your child, as versions featuring a male or female character are available . A glossary, diagram with correct anatomical terms, and reflective questions are also included. Adults will also find facts regarding child sexual abuse, helpful steps to using the book as a teaching tool, and additional resources for people living in the United States as well as Jamaica.

I am really glad I purchased this book, it lends a perfect way to get the conversation started with young children. I purchased two, as I have two sons with young children. It is important to see children of color represented. All children need to be safe. The author used real words for body parts and my family appreciated that. I highly recommend this book.

This is a very important and timely book. It is written in such a way that children can easily comprehend the concepts presented and it emphasizes the fact that their bodies are their own, which empowers them. I especially liked that it addressed the fact that danger may come from both people they know and trust, as well as strangers and prepared them to deal with those dangers. I believe this is a great book to read with your child or children when teaching them about private parts and inappropriate touching.
